Now deemed ‘Outstandng in all areas' OFSTED INSPECTION 5-6 DECEMBER 2013
LONGFORD PARK SCHOOL is the pride of Trafford.
After receiving Special School of the Year from Nick Clegg the school shone through a recent OFSTED inspection. It is very rare for a Special School, particularly a behaviour provision to be so highly acclaimed but as Irene Howard an adviser at Trafford states: “It is a very special, special school”
Ofsted report: “The school is a calm and happy place where highly effective learning takes place. Pupils settle quickly when they arrive at this school because they feel safe and exceptionally well supported... parents feel exceptionally well-supported and well informed about how well their children are doing.
Pupils quickly develop vastly improved attitudes to their learning. Very good behaviour in lessons contributes to pupils’ improved achievements, particularly in reading, writing and mathematics.
The school offers an outstanding curriculum which is exceptionally well-matched to the needs and interests of pupils. It is particularly strong in the areas of creative arts and sports, in which pupils excel.”
