Curriculum

Creative Curriculum   Key Skills

All the children at Longford Park School have full access to the National Curriculum and follow programmes of study according to their individual needs and abilities.  The curriculum is organised to ensure children have every opportunity to make use of and enhance their skills and knowledge in all curriculum subjects, within a creative model designed to enrich and excite.

The Excellence and Enjoyment agenda has ensured our curriculum has a clear focus on developing the six key skills identified in the National Curriculum.  There is a clear emphasis on personalised learning, innovation and excitement of learning to raise standards.  Our curriculum enables all pupils to be successful by developing exciting ‘contexts for learning’ which hook children’s interest and develops identified skills.  We are proud of our curriculum and Ofsted stated: “Pupils develop excellent attitudes towards learning so they engage well in lessons.  The school has established a good curriculum that is rich and imaginative, and that meets pupils’ needs effectively.” (Ofsted July 2008).  Please look at the documents below to gain a greater insight into our curriculum.
